Course Overview
This course introduces participants to the fundamental skills of dinghy sailing. Participants will learn terminology, equipment and on-water skills of launching, returning to shore and capsize recovery.
Course Prerequisites: Must be water confident
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants aged 13-17yrs who already sail or wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Overview
OutThere Sailing 1 is a great introduction to the sport of sailing and the skills required but will still focus on fun with friends. The program provides a wide variety of on water activities that will introduce sailing and, depending on your club, an opportunity to experience stand up paddle boarding, windsurfing and power boating. You will learn skills through exciting exercises and put them to good use in fun, on-water activities.
Prerequisites
Water confident.
Who should do this program?
This program is designed for participants who are 12-17 years-old looking to try a new activity, have some fun and engage with others whilst sailing.
